My Approach
I specialize in using yoga therapeutic tools, principles, and practices to help clients reduce or manage symptoms that cause suffering. The idea of each session is to provide access to a judgement free space to help you explore and allow your full Self, reconnect with your body, increase your capacity within your nervous system, and feel empowered to engage with life in a way that is meaningful and joyful for you. I will support you through life transitions and help you explore the possibility of what life could feel like with a greater connection to purpose, inner power, strength, resilience, and peace. I work with children & adolescents as well through this framework.

I value a compassionate approach towards working with clients through mental health challenges because research shows that compassionate care helps you feel more capable of meeting adversity with courage, increases motivation and prosocial affect like love and kindness to yourself, and reduces destructive pain feedback loops and rumination.
My goal is to provide tools and space for you to develop a level of awareness that guides you towards more self-compassion, trust in life, and grace on your unique life path so you feel less alone and isolated.

With familiarity from biomedical and psychological foundational knowledge, I can work alongside a specialty healthcare team to ensure you receive the most appropriate care.

I believe there is a gap in healthcare that ignores and/or dismisses the instinctual self. In my practice, I value your wisdom and life experience. I will never reduce your perspective and aim to celebrate the wise, intuitive version of you that may not always feel free to express.
I know that when we are connected to the instinctual self, to that part of ourselves that is wild and free to create with a playful joy and contentment, that we are able to align to a sense of fulfillment that meets those deep longings we strive to experience. More about yoga therapy
The most unique aspect of yoga therapy is that you are not limited to exploring just one part of your being. Some modalities are limited to working in just the mind or just the physical body. In this work, we use what are called “bottom-up” and “top-down” approaches where you get to explore how discomfort might be entering your experience from your mind, your body, and/or even your breath. I can then guide you towards recognizing how to shift between states within your autonomic nervous system to regulate and feel more at ease.

Feel free to move and flow in comfortable and breathable clothes.
All that is required is a computer with WiFi connection, a webcam/camera for a video call so we can see each other, and some yoga props. It’s awesome if you have access to a yoga mat! We can always be creative with props and specific ones will be advised to use before each session.
